Matt began his career in the Wireless Industry in 1999, as a member of the engineering firm ARCADIS Geraghty & Miller International. During this time, he was responsible for the project management and site design for more than 200 new build and colocation tower sites throughout the southeast. His clients included Crown Castle, American Tower Corporation, SBA, Signal One, AT&T Mobility, Verizon Wireless, Cricket Communications and Nextel.

He joined Wireless Properties in 2001, becoming Senior Vice President of Site Development & Operations. While there, his responsibilities included managing the sites through early design and review, budgeting, site acquisition, zoning, regulatory processing, permitting, construction and colocation. During his time at Wireless Properties, Matt developed over 40 tower sites. He is proficient with the Radio Frequency design software EDX, which Wireless Properties used to review and develop tower sites. In 2014, Matt joined as a Partner, and Vice President of Site Development, at Conveyance Wireless, a regional tower development company. He personally performed the raw land site acquisition and managed the construction and development of 15 new tower locations, completing them in less than 12 months of receipt of the initial search rings. He began 2017 by joining the TeleCAD Wireless team, once again working with Steve Carpenter and under the direction of Chris Day. He managed major network expansion projects for national carriers and performed construction management for regional tower developers.

In 2018, Matt was promoted to Director of Small Cell Services, South Region, and has overseen the completion of thousands of small cell nodes throughout the Eastern United States.

He is an active member of the state wireless associations of the Alabama Wireless Association, Georgia Wireless Association, Kentucky Wireless Association, and the Tennessee Wireless Association.

Matt is a graduate of Dalton State College; he also holds degrees in Drafting & Design Engineering from Northwestern Technical Institute.
